With just a handful of days left of this rounds We ❤ Role-Play Event, there are a variety of lovely items that you can still snag while waiting to get into Fantasy Faire 😉
Today I will be showcasing items by [GAUZE], that I have been wearing all week but just haven't had the time to sit here and write out this lovely blogpost. Yukio Ida is probably one of the hardest working creators I know who is willing to try new techniques and collaborate with other great creators to make the perfect items that fit her vision. This time around she has collaborated with the owner of BluPRINTZ once again to make the lovely "Celestine Gown". The unique details with the gown are something I know that would come from the inner depths of Yukio's artistic mind.
The gown is absolutely breathtaking and very ornate in its design. I love the crystal like adornments near the top of the gown that added to the celestial appeal of the dress. Also, I am wearing the newly updated “Chronicle Skins by [GAUZE]” that now have Omega Appliers, Slink Appliers for the skins. The skins have also been updated with little intricate details and a softness added to the body that was not as prominent on the first line.
I decided that I would prance about as some type of Elf-Demon Goddess who only comes out and communicates with the animals at night.
As you can see, the back of the dress has quite an astounding amount of detail drawn in by hand. What I also forgot to mention earlier about the dress is that it also comes with appliers so that you can apply the tattoos on your mesh bodies also. The ornate tattoos hide the special spots of your body so that you don’t need to wear a layer of clothing underneath that deters from the beauty of the outfit.
Since every celestial creature has a place they call home, I decided that mine would be near the lake.
This is the last few days of Skin Fair 2015, so if you have not had the chance to check it out yet now is your opportunity. Skin Fair will officially close its doors on 3/29/15 and oftentimes it may take some of your favorite skin designers a couple of days to get their products into their main stores. Also, at Skin Fair they may also be offering items at special prices so in order to take advantage of such offerings you should visit Skin Fair before it closes.
In the picture below I am wearing one Plastik’s new skin line “Immortalia” in the Thana tone. When I saw this skin to me it equated the ultimate vampire inspired skin. The skin has veins showing on the topical layers of the skin but its not too overbearing and there are a variety of makeups available at a extra cost to customize your look. You can purchase appliers separately also. I am wearing a eyeshadow by Clemmm’s which is called “At Death’s Door” which is to symbolize you are near death. I chose the Buzzeri eyes available at Kawaii Project because they had this alluring effect just like any vampire’s gaze would normally carry.
In the picture above I am wearing clothing by the following designers Isabeal Jupiter, Damien Fate & Zyrra Falcone. Isabeal is the creating force behind the brand dimma. The tops I am wearing are her new releases and are 90L each. The pants & shoes I am wearing are a collaborative effort by the creative force Damien Fate and Zyrra Falcone. The shoes are from a brand new brand called “FATEstep” and the shoe comes with a hud that allows you to change the shoes appearance to a variety of patterns and colors.
As you can see in all the pictures above I am wearing a tattoo. This tattoo I picked up at skin fair by a new creator to me, the store name is called “.Things.” and they use the Omega Hud System. Which little did I know you had to have the Omega Maitreya Hud Relay in order to actually apply the tattoo. I’m finally catching up with SL’s newest creations thanks to some lovely new friends. I loved this tattoo because it was a full upper body tattoo and the detail was extraordinary.
As summer comes to an end, we are all starting to feel some changes in the climate. Some of us not so much. But before we know it, Fall will be here and it will be time to bring out the sweaters and hot cocoa.
I am showcasing a few items from the following stores: [bubble], :::insanya:::, and Koy.
In the picture above I am wearing frayed shorts by [bubble] that were available at the Thrift Shop. I am also wearing a new tattoo by :::insanya::: called “Strong Spirit” in the fresh ink option so that you can get a great view of the beautiful artwork. The mini-top that I am wearing is also by :::insanya::: and my hair is called “Goodbye Summer” and it is by Koy. I chose to wear the pink color from the Unnatural’s Pack because I wanted to try to be a little different than usual.
I love the bangs on this hairstyle. I love how they come together in the front but don’t cover your eyes. The rest of the hair is kind of swept back loosely on your back.
Now I can’t end this post without showing you my amazing shoes by :::insanya::: they come with a texture changing hud that allows you to customize them to a variety of colors. I opted to keep mine black. I just loved the unique look of the shoes and to me they uttered sexiness.
Seriously my inner otaku squealled when I saw the new tattoo that was released by [Gauze] earlier this month. If you watched the anime Inuyasha you would know which character the tattoos are quite familiar to. Although they were not intended in this manner I still think Yuki’s inner otaku was coming out and shouting its love for Sesshomaru. I mean who wouldn’t fall in love with the character, he’s handsome and charismatic and he’s the bad boy 😉
Now I really wanted to be nude for this post but really I also wanted to PC also so I opted to wear these silks by Deviance. So as you can see above I am prancing about around oversized bird cages. I saw these on the sim and I knew they had to be part of my photo series. To me it was like hahaha you petty humans I am too smart to be caught by your stupid traps.
Now this picture is me not noticing the big flaw (aka side booby) until it was already on flickr. So I figured it’s safe to show everyone here since its not showing anything really just a little skin. This is a much closer look of the Kitsune Tattoo and the Arcane Dancer Silks. I was attempting some depth of field stuff inworld but i don’t think my computer can handle it XD.
Finally you get a closeup of the awesome new Asgard eyes. I am wearing the Sif set and I absolutely loved the lightning effect on the eyes. These are by far the most amazing eyes I have gotten so far this year. It really put together my look perfectly.
Ok so I have been hoarding these items all month in my inventory and well my health has been quite dismal but I wanted to show you 3 looks that I created from the items I attained from my purchases. I love shopping for RP clothing, what I dislike is being followed by someone using a translator harassing me and telling me what I should and should not buy XD I told him to kindly go away with some other expletives in Spanish XD.
Anywhoo…my first look focuses on the necklace (collar) and bindi by Folly. As usual Folly does not falter with only one variation, you can customize the items to any metal texture as well as gem textures. Folly also has a wide variety of princess dresses available for purchase but I bought this dress before I realized there were princess dresses in the Folly booth.
My second item I want to showcase is a brand new hair release that is a joint project between the two masterminds behind ploom and Koy Hair. They made this lovely mermaid-esque hair and =Kio= made these amazing mermaid accessories that looked really great with the hair.
The last item I want to showcase is these lovely Riven Wings by the creator Selos Dae of TRAP. Seriously, she is learning mesh and rocking it hardcore. I am also wearing a new release by Ni.Ju called “Smudgy Fingers” which are SLINK appliers for your nails as well as hand tattoos. They come in a variety of colors.
Ayer conocí un cielo sin sol
y un hombre sin suelo
Un santo en prisión
y una canción triste sin dueño
Y conocí tus ojos negros
Y ahora sí que no
puedo vivir sin ellos yo
For some reason I always associate Arabian themes with Shakira’s song “Ojos Asi”. There is just something that draws me into the allure of the Arabic culture but with an association of Latina Heritage. Over the years the Arabic culture has flourished with many beautiful textiles and ceramics. The most famous items that are still sold to this day are Persian Rugs. Known for their beauty and elegance these rugs are a little bit costly but worth every penny.
So why I am going on and on about Arabic items. I have a point really 😛 Genre’s theme for this round is “Arabian”. I loved the setup of the event it made rezzing a little easier for me. I wanted to find something to go with my new AZE nose piercing and earring set and there were a variety of choices. I chose and outfit from Los Encantades because of the beauty of it in the ad and in a poster that was on display in the tent.
I also found myself buying a lovely new sitting room set that I had planned to decorate with tea but then I decided me dancing on the center table was far more entertaining. Alas, there is never a guy around to pose with me when I need one. But I can always depend on my little son to be there for me. He came out his room dressed as a little prince. Please do ignore his dirty face, I bribed him with chocolate so that he can sit still long enough for the photos.
I spent a whole week putting this particular look together and that is pretty rare for me since normally I can put a look together in a few minutes. I absolutely love anything that has to do with octopi. I saw this skirt on another blogger’s flickr stream, and she always has the most beautiful outfits put together her name is Harleyquinn Constantine and this is her blog. I knew that the hair I had received from Koy would be perfect for this look. I believe its the perfect unisex hairstyle. And it comes in a variety of hair colors. But if you are like me you should totally fatpack it because then you will have all the colors.
I finally went to Collabor88 this month, and I noticed that The Secret Store had several different versions of the top that I wanted to grab. So I grabbed a corset version in red because I knew it would go perfectly with my skirt. As I was shopping in Collabor88 I received a group notice from N-Core stating that they had a new pair of shoes as a group gift. I ran and got my lovely new shoes.
I was smiling at myself because I had attained a pretty rocking rockabilly look unintentionally. As you can see I am wearing a hand tattoo which is by Moon Amore, the place where I also got my skirt, I loved the unique beauty of how the octopus was laid out on the hand. This particular hand tattoo comes in a pack of 3 tattoos called the “Waves Pack”. Now Moon Amore is a new store to me and from what I see its still in its beginning phases but it has a lot of potential. If you are into kawaii items it is the perfect place to go. I should mention that the skirt is texture changing via a hud so there are multiple textures available for you to wear. Not to mention the prices are pretty affordable. I also picked up a freckles tattoo layer that I can’t wait to try out soon.
TRAP is a store that is known for its fantasy/roleplay items. I have been a consistent customer of Selos Dae for years. Each year she amazes me with what she creates for each Fantasy Faire Event.
Below I am showcasing her RFL items, which are the Koi Scales Tattoos in Violet and Cyan. These are a updated version of what was available on a previous generation of skins called “Koi”. I love the artwork and how beautiful and intricate each detail within the tattoo is. There are several different versions of coverage you can choose to wear. I happen to be wearing 100% coverage, because I wanted to showcase the artwork but also keep my privates covered.
As you can see in the photos above, I am also wearing a RFL item by AZE Jewelry Designs as well as a beautiful and ornate hair accessory by Naminoke. I am also wearing the brand new Vampire Ears that TRAP launched at Fantasy Faire 2014.
I wanted to do a vampire-esque post using the Vampire Ears and the Vampire Skin by TRAP. I remembered I picked up this lovely dress by Sweet Lies for 124L at Fantasy Faire 2014. I coordinated the look with more jewelry by AZE Jewelry Designs.
When I began Second Life, [Gauze] was one of those stores I just couldn’t keep stop spending my lindens at. Of course it didn’t hurt that it was so close to Sn@tch and I was pretty much there all the time. I have watched the transition of [Gauze] go from Visual Kei items to more Fantasy and Roleplay looks. When I’m looking for a set of unique eyes, avatar, skin, etc. I can always count on [Gauze].
I am showcasing the female version of the Fenrir Outfit. Just in case you are wondering there is a wonderful male version that I wanted to take pictures of but alas boi Lola was being shy and didn’t want to make an appearance. If you remember the awesome Fenrir Pauldron that Yukio debut at last years Fantasy Faire, you will be amazed at this complete outfit. The claws include a position hud so that you can change how the claws/gloves pose. The corset is mesh as well as the boots. The pants also come in a phat azz/cutie azz version which I was tempted to try but I remembered I didn’t go buy the appliers yet for my [GAUZE] skins.
Also I was a bit nostalgic and I purchased a hair from the Curious Kitties booth. They were once my go-to place for unique hairstyles in Second Life but with the advent of so many wonderful stores in Second Life I have expanded my store options. I loved how wild and crazy this hairstyle I chose from Curious Kitties was. It was the perfect compliment to my [Gauze] look.
If you haven’t visited 100 Block yet, you have a few days to grab these lovelies from Sakide. When I tried on “The Block” outfit I pretty much wore it for 2 weeks. But here I am finally showing you what awesomeness you are missing. I got a little pose happy also, I picked up the “Stance” poses by Vanity Poses at Pose Fair and I did a photo montage of myself.
I loved how Kinu added leggings and gloves to this outfit and the texturing on the outfit made it the perfect gothic outfit for me to prance about in. I also picked up the awesome Dread boots by Razor at The Block but they are available in-store also.
You can style this outfit anyway you can think of. For some reason I was channeling a dear friend of mine who wears a ton of Pink XD
