I know you have heard that hair officially opened this past Saturday, and I was lucky enough to get a walk-thru before the official opening. I didn’t realize there were so many hair creators and new ones I had only known for their other creations in SL.
So really these are some of the favorite ones I picked up. I figured I’ll time out the posts a little better in the future but this will be another pic heavy post. Please don’t kill me. I tried really hard to take greqt quality pictures. I’m going to post the outfit details below each pic and at the end of the post I’ll post the items that are worn constantly thru all of the photos.
So a little warning, I’ve been sitting on these photos for a while and just didn’t know the best way to spread them out in my blog. So I’m just gonna slam you with a ton of pictures. Don’t run I swear I tried to make it as organized as possible. I didn’t take pictures of a few of the vendors because I was having rezzing issues and I couldn’t get the makeup tattoos to rezz for me.
So tadaa here come the pics! And FYI they are not in hunt order, the hunt is super easy so you won’t have problems finding the items.
Okay so I had a ton of fun taking pictures. Check out the mainblog for hunt info and tips: HERE
It’s all the same, only the names will change
Everyday it seems we’re wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
I’d drive all night just to get back home
I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I’m wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
So guessing by the title I’m a Bon Jovi fan and when I saw Sakide’s new releases for Flux (theme: Americana) I got the big geekiest smile ever. I mean how can I not reference this awesome hair metal song after seeing the new pieces labeled “Wanted”.
First I wanted to start off this blogpost with her new “Denim Dream Dress” which features a texture change hud that allows you to change the belt color, top color, and skirt color.
I picked this particular texture because today is officially the 4th of July in the United States and well I figured it would be cute or what not.
Now this next outfit features her “Denim Stars Capris – Black” and “Wanted Top”. Both items have hud changing options. They are mesh and amazingly textured. I loved the stars on the capris and the bandana top featuring “Wanted Dead or Alive” on as a logo.
Now the bandana top hud features a wide variety of colors to change from I chose red because it showcased the logo more efficiently.
Last but not least a shirt for the guys. Yes I updated my male shape and skin for this post because boi Lola was looking kind of dated. It turns out my male shape is extremely skinny lol. I focused more on the tshirt and fidgeted with windlight settings to show the shirt and the logo perfectly.
There are more options available by Sakide at FLUX, I just picked a small sample of items to whet your appetite for new items at great prices.

So I am a bit behind in blogging, my immune system is sucky so I get sick often. But I am back to blog the new corsets Aikea had passed me a week or so ago and I bought some new items she had out at her mainstore and at the Block 100 event.
Some of the items I used to create complete outfits come from previous 50L Friday releases. For those of you who have not bothered to pick up her releases on 50L Friday I do urge you to do so. The items coordinate with lots of pieces she releases so no more finding that right shoe, pants, jacket, etc.. its all in the 50L Friday folder.
So up first I would like to showcase the Anasaze Corsets. What I love about these corsets is that they come in two pieces. Usually I’m more top heavy but my waist is always smaller and with the way Aikea packaged this corset I can now customize the corset to my dimensions. The corsets are mesh and there are dozens of patterns to choose from, I chose skully since I have a affinity for skulls.
The next outfit I chose is a matchup with a new release in her store and a new release at Block 100 event. The Little Ghost tops can be found in the mainstore. I like how they show just enough skin but so much in the cleavage area. The Cestus pants are a new release that can be found at the Block 100 event, there are a few colors to choose from. I love the belt like midsection of the pants.
The last picture focuses on items I picked up at the Block 100 event. The Lorelai Skirt, Cestus Pants, and Sterling Jacket are exclusive items created for the event. There are a variety of colors available for sale. Since I didn’t want to inundate my post with a million pictures I combined the last 2 outfits into one picture.
Note: Items marked 50L Friday are no longer available inworld, but you can find full relases in multiple patterns within the store. Plastik mainstore url is HERE; Plastik @ Block 100 Event url is HERE
As some of you are aware, Fantasy Faire began yesterday. I hope you have been able to see the creative builds and explore the extensive amount of vendors. Tonight I am showcasing items from FATEwear and a necklace from ni.ju
When I first saw the previews of these items on Damian Fate’s plurk timeline, I immediately had visions of Lord of the Rings and I knew exactly how I wanted to style these items. I was lucky enough to be given the honor of receiving blogger copies so I was a tad ecstatic. There are three outfits, two for males and one for females. Each outfit is available in three colors. There are two elven styled outfits and one for mages.
Up first is the female elven outfit. The outfit is called “Rochon” and is all mesh. You can either go barefoot or accessorize with a nice pair of boots. I also accessorized this outfit with a necklace from ni.ju since it fit the style perfectly. So when you think of elves featured in Lord of The Rings they all had beautiful white/silvery hair so I found one that I thought gave an asthetic appeal to the outfit.
The second outfit is called “Feredir” which sounds like such a strong male elven character name. You can wear this outfit in two ways: with or without cloak. No shoes are necessary the entire outfit is one piece. I had a few looky loo’s while I was taking this picture and some girl was hitting on me….so I’m guessing my boy shape ain’t half bad lol.
The last outfit is called “Ithron” and this is what I have deemed a typical mage/magician outfit. Usually magicians are quite older and experienced with how the world works. The mage I created is barely entering his elder years so he is still in the process of learning all that is to be known. I’m wearing a skin from Sacred Skins that comes with facial hair.
Destany Laval of Unzipped has released this lovely new outfit as a RFL exclusive item. The outfit is called “Earth Malo – Cobalt Orange”. The textures on the outfit are breathtaking. And the outfit comes with everything seen in the picture except skin and eyes.
This particular outfit can be worn in several ways. The above version is a more elegant look and the image below shows how if you take off the skirt portion you are left with a lovely silhouette. The pants layer is black leather pants and it accents the outfit perfectly. Perfect for RP as a Huntress.
Another wear option is wearing another pants layer that showcases more of your legs. The way the outfit is created it elongates your frame adding to the alluring beauty of the outfit.
Earlier this week a friend of mine posted different genres of being Goth. I remember when I started down the path of “Gothabilly” with my RL clothing attire but it became too expensive and well I can’t sew. So I lunged head forward into Japanese Gothic Lolita.
So what exactly is GOTHABILLY, well imagine mixing gothic attire with rockabilly and there you go. I thought it would be fun to create three different looks.
So the first look is as follows; When I think of rockabilly fashion I tend to gravitate towards polkadots. What would make this skirt even more gothabilly/rockabilly is the addition of a zombie or skulls on the bottom portion as are present in poodle skirts. I like to keep dark colors together and I used accessories from a previous gacha by Balderdash (btw still available in her store). A gothabilly girl can’t prance about without her trademark tattoos, so I chose tattoos from silent sparrow’s gacha. Looking for mesh gothabilly hair was easy for me since I love the styles available at Alice Project. So since I’m talking so much how about I show you the picture.
The second look focuses on a more casual play on what Rizzo would have worn in Grease if she was Goth. Red, Purple, Green, and Orange are really popular colors among the Gothabilly crowd. Hair is a old time favorite from Clawtooth and accessories are from Virtual Insanity.
The final look is a more classic Gothabilly look. I am always looking for these type of dresses in SL, they are called Wiggle Dresses. Think of the character Wanda Woodward from Cry Baby, all that sex appeal with a dark edge. Since I was being lazy I kept the same hair from the first picture by Alice Project, although this type of outfit can be worn with hair down or up in pincurls. I kept the look classic by adding a long pearl necklace by lassitude and ennui.
