I absolutely love Rockabilly fashion and when I saw the dresses that Sakide had created for The Black Fair, I nearly fell out my chair. The dress is absolutely stunning. It comes with system layer top and bottom so no peek-a-boo I see your whooo-whooo when sitting in your mesh pencil skirt. This wondrous dress is called “The Black Outfit”. My accomplice in this picture taking adventure I snagged my favorite Betty, Phire Zuhra to take pictures with me. Alas SL has been doing some funky things when I attempt to take pics and for some reason Phire just wouldn’t rezz for me at all. Maybe it is because she’s so stunning. So I also want to thank her for taking the pictures this time around.
So here is the upclose and personal picture of the two of us. As you can see I’m more into Rockabilly style than Phire but its cool she’s got the classic look down packed. That’s the best thing about this dress, you can wear it in any style and you still will look fabulous.
A side view, so you can get a great look at the leather details on the dress. The are wonderful accents to the pencil skirt, along with the skinny belt.
When we were in this final pose I started cracking up and made Moulin Rouge references. At first Phire didn’t get it, but once I explained to her what movie my silly banter was about she was cracking up with me. We dubbed this pose “She’s mine” now where is my penniless sitar player.
If you haven’t seen the adorable Penguin necklaces by [Atooly] available at SL Fashion Week then you are truly living under some rock. The good news is that all you toddledoo avatars can also buy this necklace and resize it perfectly to your shape.
As usual, there are a variety of colors to choose from. It was quite hard for me to choose just one to wear. I took my trial SL daughter with me and she loved the blue one and hasn’t taken it off yet. I opted for the red penguin.
If you haven’t guessed by now, I am an official blogger for Sakide. I am actually ecstatic to be her official blogger because she is so unique on the concepts of clothing she creates.
As some of you may know, one of a beloved designers in SL has come across some hard times. The designer never asked for help but the citizens of SL are coming to her aide. Designers have donated items for 100% to 50% donation. Alot of these creations are new or special versions.
Sakide has the lovely Lace Bonbon Dress set at 100%. As with many of her mesh items it comes with a hud that allows you to change the texture of your dress to your desired color. I loved how form fitting and sexy the dress is, the texture work is flawless.
She is also offering these lovely Mosaic Dresses in Black and White. Each version comes in a variety of colors within each hud. These items are at 75% donation each. I love the flouncy skirt bottoms on the dress and the sweetheart neckline.
The following two pictures feature items from a few vendors I picked up at the Love Donna Flora Event.

So once again I was stalking Lokii’s store. She just loves it when I scoot around everywhere. Any ways I found some new epic awesomeness in her store and also I wanted to showcase her free t-shirt she had out for PRIDE awareness event. Not only did I buy alot of new items at Lokii’s store (Malfean Visions) I also hit up Andel’s store.
As you can see in the above picture I wanted to create a photo backdrop that complimented the items I got from A.D.D Andel and also other items through several rounds at the Arcade Gacha. I have been called a gacha addict and a hoarder but really my friends just don’t understand the need to have all the things 😛
So I have a few outfits to show you, up first is a outfit I made from separates available at [M.V.]. When I saw the corset featuring a lovely skull and it also had the option to use LOLA appliers I pulled out mah fake boobs for the post for this particular outfit. The skirt and boots were this weeks 60L sale items. If you are quick you can catch them before a new set of awesome 60L items are put out on Saturday.
Up next is a beautiful outfit. I love the corset top and the long skirt. I have a little obsession with items in sl that have zippers so when I saw the zipper on the skirt I squeed and was told by my son to stop buying so much ROFL. This outfit is all mesh so I urge you to try demos. I didn’t wear shoes with this outfit because I mean who wants to wear shoes that interfere with the beauty of the dress.
Ok so I have been eyeing this outfit for quite a while but wasn’t sure I would love it. Well I took the plunge and bought it and OMG look how sexy I look in it. I love the colors and the best part is the zombie decor around the skirt. What you can’t see are the awesome zombie shoes I bought to go with the outfit.
The last outfit is a personal fave, not because the t-shirt was FREE but because I loved the message on the shirt “I can’t think straight” because honestly I believe that we as human beings are capable to love both genders in our own ways. The shirt is available at PRIDE but I’m not sure how long that will be. Yes I’m a bad blogger I forgot to check the timeframe of the event.
So what am I saying in this blogpost is this, take a chance and explore some stores you probably have never heard of before. I am pretty sure they will have something that will fit your needs. A.D.D. Andel has a wide variety of home & garden items and she puts so much detail into her work. [M.V.] isn’t just a Goth-only type of store she encompasses all trends but adds her own twist to it.

Earlier this week a friend of mine posted different genres of being Goth. I remember when I started down the path of “Gothabilly” with my RL clothing attire but it became too expensive and well I can’t sew. So I lunged head forward into Japanese Gothic Lolita.
So what exactly is GOTHABILLY, well imagine mixing gothic attire with rockabilly and there you go. I thought it would be fun to create three different looks.
So the first look is as follows; When I think of rockabilly fashion I tend to gravitate towards polkadots. What would make this skirt even more gothabilly/rockabilly is the addition of a zombie or skulls on the bottom portion as are present in poodle skirts. I like to keep dark colors together and I used accessories from a previous gacha by Balderdash (btw still available in her store). A gothabilly girl can’t prance about without her trademark tattoos, so I chose tattoos from silent sparrow’s gacha. Looking for mesh gothabilly hair was easy for me since I love the styles available at Alice Project. So since I’m talking so much how about I show you the picture.
The second look focuses on a more casual play on what Rizzo would have worn in Grease if she was Goth. Red, Purple, Green, and Orange are really popular colors among the Gothabilly crowd. Hair is a old time favorite from Clawtooth and accessories are from Virtual Insanity.
The final look is a more classic Gothabilly look. I am always looking for these type of dresses in SL, they are called Wiggle Dresses. Think of the character Wanda Woodward from Cry Baby, all that sex appeal with a dark edge. Since I was being lazy I kept the same hair from the first picture by Alice Project, although this type of outfit can be worn with hair down or up in pincurls. I kept the look classic by adding a long pearl necklace by lassitude and ennui.
Too late – this is not the answer
I need to pack it in
I can’t pull your heart together with just my voice alone
A thousand shards of glass I came to meet you in
You cut the peace out of me
I have always been a fan of Apocalyptica, and lately I have found myself being drawn to this song more and more over the past few weeks. I wasn’t going to share what I was going through but I figure what the heck. I lost my grandfather on the 28th of February due to several complication with Alzheimer’s Disease. All I knew was that the moment I found out the news I felt my heart break into pieces and what solidified it even more was taking a red-eye to New York only to find my Grandmother not dealing well with his loss.
So this post is in honor of my Grandparents and also how I feel at the moment. I knew I needed to do something more than just a fallen angel concept. I wanted to add more sorrow and pain to the image but without being overly traumatic.
From this picture I am attempting to show you the angels fall from grace, although I realized just now that I didn’t get a really great pic of the broken wings.
After fumbling over a look, I finally decided on this one. Skin is a favorite by Nomine, Roses by Glam Affair, Eyes & Body Tats by Chus, Facial Piercings by ni.ju, outfit and angel wings is from a new to me store called “X-plosion”.
