Woohoo Hair Fair has started and it is officially in it’s second day of its grand opening. As always I’m a day late in putting up my first post. Although I did have these pictures done in time, alas family fun got the best of me.
So today I am showing you the lovely hairstyles created by the ever so talented Helyanwe Vindaloo, of ploom. I have been a customer of her store from way back in 2007. Back when her store was called “Deviant Kitties”. She had her own niche of hairstyles that she became known for in the hair community. As the years progressed she honed her skills and began creating more and more styles that also attracted different types of customers to her store. She was no longer known as the creator who only focuses on one niche but now one who encompasses all customer groups.
Left to Right: Pickle, Plasma, Honey, and Carrie.
Pickle is a fun cute hairstyle. Perfect for the kawaii look. I do highly recommend you fatpack this hair because all the hair color options will be worth your money.
Plasma is another cute and fun hairstyle that can be used for a variety of looks. It is perfect for gothic lolita roleplay or just someone who likes wearing cute hairstyles. I am wearing the lavender color from the pastel pack. I loved how pretty the color is and how it complimented my outfit.
Honey is a cute up-do with a whimsical twist. The hair is put up in a bow and adorned with a lovely floral headband. The headband is texture changing so you can change the flowers to match your outfit.
Last but not least is Carrie. I absolutely adored this hairstyle. It reminded me of an old picture of my mother where she had a hairstyle similar to this. This is a classic and elegant up-do. Perfect for any occasion.
I spent a whole week putting this particular look together and that is pretty rare for me since normally I can put a look together in a few minutes. I absolutely love anything that has to do with octopi. I saw this skirt on another blogger’s flickr stream, and she always has the most beautiful outfits put together her name is Harleyquinn Constantine and this is her blog. I knew that the hair I had received from Koy would be perfect for this look. I believe its the perfect unisex hairstyle. And it comes in a variety of hair colors. But if you are like me you should totally fatpack it because then you will have all the colors.
I finally went to Collabor88 this month, and I noticed that The Secret Store had several different versions of the top that I wanted to grab. So I grabbed a corset version in red because I knew it would go perfectly with my skirt. As I was shopping in Collabor88 I received a group notice from N-Core stating that they had a new pair of shoes as a group gift. I ran and got my lovely new shoes.
I was smiling at myself because I had attained a pretty rocking rockabilly look unintentionally. As you can see I am wearing a hand tattoo which is by Moon Amore, the place where I also got my skirt, I loved the unique beauty of how the octopus was laid out on the hand. This particular hand tattoo comes in a pack of 3 tattoos called the “Waves Pack”. Now Moon Amore is a new store to me and from what I see its still in its beginning phases but it has a lot of potential. If you are into kawaii items it is the perfect place to go. I should mention that the skirt is texture changing via a hud so there are multiple textures available for you to wear. Not to mention the prices are pretty affordable. I also picked up a freckles tattoo layer that I can’t wait to try out soon.
I bet you are wondering what the heck the title means….well I’ll tell you it means my mustache!! See if you are a follower of the creations from [ATOOLY] then you would know that you can pick up some awesome mustache inspired accessories. I am only wearing the Mint Versions since I thought I’d stop attacking you guys with the color purple on my posts 😛
Coordinating a look to go with the accessories actually took me a while. I didn’t want to be EGL style for some reason and I tried executive professional style but man that is so not me. And I ended up with this look.
I apologize for wearing 2 items that you can never purchase again, see I’m a hoarder of all things Schadenfreude. The blouse and tie were from a event called “March Mint Madness” that took place on one of my beloved SL Creators, who has now left SL for good, Sim. I was actually a creator at that time so I had some stuff I could have worn with this post but I didn’t wanna scare you with my old stuffs. Anywhoo….as you can see from the picture the adorable headband and bracelets add just the right amount of cuteness to my outfit.
And if you aren’t a fan of the color “Mint” don’t worry there are other colors available because Rockstarroo GossipGirl, creator/owner of [ATOOLY], has a variety of colors for you to choose from. I bet you are wondering where you can pick up these lovely items, for this week they are available at SL Fashion Week until Thursday 8/8/13. On Friday a new collection will launch so don’t forget to get them at the stellar price.
So I’m just going to leave this picture here with all zee colors for you to stare at and then you can tp your little heart and buy them all. I swear you really do want to fatpack it all!!! 450L for bracelets fatpack or 99L each 3pack / 625L for headband fatpack or 90L each headband BUY HERE
Earlier this week a friend of mine posted different genres of being Goth. I remember when I started down the path of “Gothabilly” with my RL clothing attire but it became too expensive and well I can’t sew. So I lunged head forward into Japanese Gothic Lolita.
So what exactly is GOTHABILLY, well imagine mixing gothic attire with rockabilly and there you go. I thought it would be fun to create three different looks.
So the first look is as follows; When I think of rockabilly fashion I tend to gravitate towards polkadots. What would make this skirt even more gothabilly/rockabilly is the addition of a zombie or skulls on the bottom portion as are present in poodle skirts. I like to keep dark colors together and I used accessories from a previous gacha by Balderdash (btw still available in her store). A gothabilly girl can’t prance about without her trademark tattoos, so I chose tattoos from silent sparrow’s gacha. Looking for mesh gothabilly hair was easy for me since I love the styles available at Alice Project. So since I’m talking so much how about I show you the picture.
The second look focuses on a more casual play on what Rizzo would have worn in Grease if she was Goth. Red, Purple, Green, and Orange are really popular colors among the Gothabilly crowd. Hair is a old time favorite from Clawtooth and accessories are from Virtual Insanity.
The final look is a more classic Gothabilly look. I am always looking for these type of dresses in SL, they are called Wiggle Dresses. Think of the character Wanda Woodward from Cry Baby, all that sex appeal with a dark edge. Since I was being lazy I kept the same hair from the first picture by Alice Project, although this type of outfit can be worn with hair down or up in pincurls. I kept the look classic by adding a long pearl necklace by lassitude and ennui.
